Endangered Insect Earrings-Bumble Bee

The rusty-patched bumble bee is an endangered Michigan insect. They were prevalent in grasslands and prairies until those environments became depleted and even lost to development.   The worker bees are distinguished  by a rusty red patch on their backs. Wear these earrings as a conversation starter to engage friends in the preservation of our smallest Michigan creatures!

Sterling silver 3/4 inch sand textured discs on sterling silver French style wires. Oxidized and embossed.
